SUMMARY:Wilderness Day Camp
DESCRIPTION:Wilderness Day Camp is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the second Thursday in July.  The Annual Wilderness Day Camp is a unique opportunity for youth to connect with nature while learning new outdoor skills.  Children spend time at each of six to eight stations.   Activity stations may include BB-gun and archery target shooting\, water safety\, live birds of prey\, snakes and tortoises\, a dog care and handling demonstration\, and fly rod casting. \nThe event is located at the Dale Hollow Dam Day Use picnic shelter and vicinity.  Hosted by the Friends of Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery\, the Wilderness Day Camp is a partnership of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency\, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service\, Tennessee State Parks\, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. \nThe Dale Hollow Damsite Day Use is located just below Dale Hollow Dam on the Obey River Tailwater in Celina\, TN. The area offers a picnic shelter\, individual picnic tables\, fishing pier\, and playground. The Obey River is known for rainbow and brown trout fishing. Located in the vicinity is the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery.  No Day Use Fee Charged.

It is nothing short of remarkable\, different artisan’s and unique vendors displaying a wide range of products and special finds all in one perfect location. Antique shops bring things you can only wish to have and folks who take honey or milks and other elements from their farms and turn it into incredible goods you just can’t help but buy. Not to mention\, the food\, it is amazing. There are no two alike\, with an assortment from home cooked comfort foods to hamburgers and BBQ and if that isn’t enough\, we have ice cream\, we have homemade macaroons\, we have fresh baked breads and cupcakes\, we have jellies and salsas\, we simply have it all. We also offer a farm to table dinner where we gather and harvest from local farmers. A variety of meats and produce are taken and prepared just for you.
