Stars on the Cumberland Talent Competition Coming Oct. 24-25
Singers, dancers, musicians, bands and performers of all kinds are invited to take the stage during Stars on the Cumberland, a two-day talent competition coming to the Clay County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026.
Presented by the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and Clay County Tourism Committee, Stars on the Cumberland is open to performers from Clay County and beyond. Contestants from other counties and states are welcome to enter, making the event an opportunity for performers of all ages and backgrounds to showcase their talents before a live audience.
The competition will feature two divisions. The Youth Division is open to participants ages 12 and younger, while the Adult Division is for participants ages 13 and older. Each division will award a $1,000 grand prize, along with cash prizes for second place, third place and People’s Choice.
The first day of competition will serve as the Stars on the Cumberland Showcase, beginning at noon Saturday, Oct. 24. Contestants will perform for the opportunity to advance to the finals. The Stars on the Cumberland Finals will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
Cash prizes will be awarded in each division:
- Grand Prize: $1,000
- Second Place: $500
- Third Place: $250
- People’s Choice: $250
The entry fee is $20 per act. Individual performers, groups, dancers, singers, instrumentalists, bands and performers with other unique talents are encouraged to enter. Parents or guardians must sign the required waiver for participants who are minors.

Whether contestants have years of performance experience or are stepping onto a stage for the first time, Stars on the Cumberland is designed to give talented performers an opportunity to be seen, heard and celebrated.
Families, friends and visitors are also encouraged to attend and support the contestants throughout the weekend. The competition adds another exciting fall event to the Clay County calendar and provides visitors with an opportunity to combine the event with a weekend exploring Dale Hollow Lake, local restaurants, attractions and other destinations throughout Clay County.
